WHAT IS OMG WOW?
OMG W.O.W. is a digital platform that supports Black women in their personal and professional growth through mentorship, community, and learning.

Why the Dashboard?
After clarifying the membership experience in the website redesign, it became clear that returning users needed a structured way to continue their journey. Members wanted a simple, motivating way to access resources, track their progress, and connect with others.
The challenge
How might we design a dashboard that keeps members engaged and supported beyond sign-up?

Surface the right next step at the right time to help members stay focused and motivated
Reinforce progress through milestones and personalized tracking
Make mentorship, learning, and community easy to access from a single view
Strengthen connection by spotlighting active groups, upcoming events, and new members
Create a space users want to return to—clear, inviting, and built around their growth journey
my approach
I began designing for returning members, knowing their needs would guide the onboarding experience for new users.
My decisions were informed by
Insights gathered during the website phase
Stakeholder goals to improve retention and perceived value
Light benchmarking of platforms like Coursera, ADP List, and LinkedIn Learning.
Benchmark Analysis
Key goals
Make it easy for users to pick up where they left off.
Surface important upcoming activities like events or mentorships.
Reinforce progress through visible metrics.
Help users feel supported and seen through personalized content.
Wireframes
After initial iterations, I refined the layout into a more condensed format—adding visual elements like calendars and reducing cognitive load.
FINAL DESIGN

The final dashboard brings mentorship, learning, and community together in one clear, centralized space. Members can track progress, stay updated on upcoming sessions and events, and engage with content aligned to their goals. With just the right balance of structure and flexibility, the dashboard supports continued growth and encourages meaningful participation—every time they return.
